My studio work focuses on visual explorations using illustrated and animated systems—driven by craft, pop culture, and an original point of view.

This practice runs parallel to my client work, not as decoration, but as research. It's how I explore questions about identity, representation, and participation that product work rarely allows space for.

Them Old Ideas Are Buried Here

This illustration series reimagines Beyoncé’s 2024 studio album "Cowboy Carter" as a speculative Western epic — part myth, part memory, and part retro-futurist narrative.


Drawing from the album’s expansive soundscape, its deliberate resistance to fixed genre classifications, and it’s assertion in taking up space where “it doesn’t belong,” this is as a multi-part illustrated cinematic work that unfolds across time (and space).

This illustration brings the pivotal scene in Ryan Coogler's Sinners to life… er, to canvas.


It centers the main characters, their supporting counterparts, visitors from years and eras past, and a few evil eyes lurking just beyond the shadows.

Elote Man

This project treats environment and motion as interaction variables, exploring how minimal cues (sound, repetition, spatial scale) can convey cultural presence without dialogue or instruction.


It began as an observation of a familiar street moment in Los Angeles: an elote vendor moving through a South LA neighborhood on a bike.
